Fewer people placed in jobs by London recruitment agencies

Recruitment agencies in London are placing fewer people in jobs than a year ago as the number of candidates continues to fall, a new study shows.
A slowdown in the number of European Union nationals coming to work in the UK coupled with record employment levels is potentially leaving some vacancies unfilled, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation said.
Its survey of 100 recruitment firms in the capital found that the financial sector was finding it particularly difficult to recruit staff.
The number of permanent job vacancies in London increased last month, continuing a year-long trend, the report added.
